Motor Rebuilds
No one is better equipped to rebuild your motor than Fusion Concepts.
When the motor in your equipment begins running poorly, the normal tendency is to send it to a “local” motor shop to be re-built. It makes sense. But it is not “centsable.”
The motors used in Pfankuch’s “-K” feeders are more advanced than those used in many small machines. When “repaired” by a local motor shop, they often come back performing worse than before. Why? Because they are designed for precision operation and require precision maintenance. When the motor rotor is removed (and it must be to properly clean the interior and inspect all components even if only brushes are to be changed) the critical magnetic field between the rotor and stator is substantially degraded. Torque, power and speed all decline. To compensate for this degraded performance, the operator cranks up the speed of the packaging equipment. This over taxes other components in the equipment such as the power supply and control boards, making matters worse than before and risking related component damage.
When you send your motor to Fusion Concepts, you are assured of it coming back to you in proper working order. First of all, we have the knowledge to do the job right. We also have the equipment necessary to re-magnetize your motor to its original specifications. In addition, we only use OEM parts, which are engineered for your motor.
We also make repairing your motor easy and quick. We can even supply you with a secure shipping crate, which you use to send us your motor. We will return your rebuilt motor, usually in just 1 business day after receiving it. And when it comes back to you, it will run at its original specifications. The typical cost for motor repair is approximately $300 ($200 for labor and $100 for parts) -- a small price to pay for the job being done correctly, and no different than most local repairs.
Here is something else to consider: if you purchase a new motor from us, we will rebuild your old one for free*. That way, you will have a back-up motor so your packaging equipment will always be up and running.
