Gremser Pile Feeder

Certain rare applications are not suited for friction feeders no matter how elegant, carefully engineered or refined the system. For those applications the finest solution available is the Gremser FNs pile feeder.

As opposed to the friction feeder load from the top, feed from the bottom methodology, the pile feeder loads from the bottom and feeds from the top; functioning much like the front end of a sheet fed press. This is ideal for extremely sensitive products like ink jet photo printing paper and overhead transparency sheets.

The pile feeder is most often configured with a drop table and designed to accommodate standard sizes from 4X6" up through 8.5 X 11" paper, running in either orientation. Running at speeds (subject to product stiffness and performance attributes) of more than 160M/min the feeder is capable of high rates of automatic counting and output with the most sensitive materials.

The feeder includes an ultrasonic double detect for absolutely accurate counts, and is available with a number of options to enhance the overall productivity of the production line.

With careful system design from project conception, the feeder can be designed to be integrated individually , or later as one of a series of feeders, and easily moved from a Gremser collating line to the infeed of a shrink wrapping line as a customer's production dictates.
