Friction Deliveries :: Vertical Delivery

Typical feeder designs assume that products are generally discharged horizontally, and although this is often valid, in many cases more positive control is required to ensure that critical inserts are driven (rather than just float with gravity) into the final spot in the package.

Cartoning, case packing and bagging systems specifically often require that an insert (MSDS sheet, registration card, counter top display instructions, etc.) is positively place in front of product prior to a final right angle push, or delivered into open container prior to closing and sealing.

The vertical delivery, available in two standard lengths, is the ideal solution for that requirement, and like all Pfankuch feeder components, handles folded pieces adroitly and can also accommodate multiple product counts.

For critically short dwell times, functionality in the VS2002 controller can further enhance the capability of the vertical delivery by pre-feeding a product. Friction feeder response time is further reduced by the insert being in position and partially pre fed - awaiting the trigger signal for lightning fast response.
