Pfankuch Friction Feeders
Friction Deliveries :: Vacuum Delivery
The most commonly used delivery for accurate placement and tipping applications
is the vacuum delivery. Unlike the mechanical tipping systems used by others,
our system offers both precision and flexibility. Customers often run products
as diverse as CR80 cards, magnets, sachets, CDs and folded inserts all on
the same delivery.
The premise of the vacuum delivery is twofold. First, to achieve accurate placement we must control the product being fed up until is is located correctly on the substrate - we can't just eject it and hope it lands where we wish. Second, the "angle of attack" needs to be as shallow as possible to facilitate speed matching and smooth transition from the feeder to the substrate.
Two deliveries can be used simultaneously to support products wider than 2.5".
Product is indexed by a laser sensor at the end of the delivery, just prior to release and placement, ensuring accuracy and quick response for each cycle.
Feeders with this delivery can be easily mounted over, and integrated with vacuum tables, web presses and folder gluers.
