The Horizontal / Vertical Delivery is typical of the creativity with which the Pfankuch engineers tackle a vexing production problem. Increasingly the challenge of including marketing inserts is a challenge for many production teams. Particularly the efficient single web bundling lines used for beverages and consumer products are difficult due to their high conveyor pass height and wide widths. Operators can't feasibly keep a feeder full.

This design from Pfankuch allows the feeder head to be kept outside and accessible (even to be fed by an autoloader, and to be ganged in two tracks to support two track bundling) while the product is transported horizontally over the conveyor then positively drive vertically into the pack pattern. The delivery is available in two styles. One accommodates rigid products (e.g. CDs) and the other flexible, folded inserts.
