Typical feeder designs assume that products are generally discharged horizontally and automatically incorporated into some follow-on process. However, numerous applications require the accuracy and efficiency of automated counting (and in some cases scanning and verification which can be integrated into any Pfankuch feeder) but are basically manual functions.

Pfankuch offers the perfect solution - a catch tray delivery. This is well suited for semi-automated applications. The feeder counts products (typically cards, envelopes, lottery tickets, etc.) according to a pre-set count. Once the count is achieved the feeder waits. When the operator removes the completed stack, the feeder automatically begins its next count, completing the count in time for the operator to be ready for the next complete count.

Feeders equipped with the catch tray can be later converted to one of the more automation friendly deliveries, making this a perfect stepping stone for growing businesses or specific off-line functions that grow in volume to become in-line processes.
